Plan of Action — Three Campaigns, Two Venues

What we're building for The Yard Family Fun Center and Grand View Event Center this month, and the reasoning behind each call.

Overview

Three campaigns are in motion right now across your two venues. They aren't three separate efforts running in parallel — they're sequenced deliberately so that the ones with hard deadlines and long lead times go first, and the ones that can share an audience are combined instead of split.

Here's the one insight that shapes everything below: The Yard's Beach Bash Luau on August 29 falls on the final weekend of the Krazy Darts half-off promo (which ends August 31). Rather than run those as two competing campaigns fighting for the same feed, we're treating Beach Bash as the closing act of the darts push — one Saturday, two reasons to come, a single deadline doing double duty. That's covered in full in § How the three campaigns sequence together.

Everything here is built on the same principle: the hero subject in every ad is your real venue — real simulators, a real waterslide, a real derby arena — never an AI-generated stand-in. Static cards render for free from HTML and cost nothing; where we do use generation, it's limited to background texture, never the thing people are showing up to see.

Fall Harvest Havoc — Demolition Derby

DateSaturday, September 26, 2026 — gates 6:00 PM, derby 7:30 PM
Admission$25 general · $15 seniors, veterans & kids 12 & under
Driver entry$75 per car (driver + 1 pit pass) · extra pit passes $30
StatusFlyer complete

Why this one goes first, even though it's the latest event

The real deadline
A demolition derby fails without cars. Drivers need weeks to build and prep a vehicle — so the campaign that can fail catastrophically is driver recruitment, not spectator turnout, and its clock starts long before September 26.
The advantage we already have
This is a re-skin, not a build from zero. You already own a complete funnel from the May 30 "Spring Loaded" derby — rules page, registration page, digital and print posters, and six real derby photos including packed grandstands and night action. Fall Harvest Havoc needs a new date and a harvest visual treatment, which is days of work, not weeks.
Why real photography, not AI
We tried photoreal AI generation for rodeo and derby imagery on this account before and it failed outright — wrong metal, wrong dust, wrong crowd. Your six real derby shots carry this campaign instead. Generation stays limited to graphic treatment, never the hero subject.

The print flyer is built and finalized — 300dpi and letter-size digital versions, plus press-ready bleed for professional printing, all confirmed against the venue's hard facts (address, admission, driver entry, Fred Carson as the registration contact). Seventeen sponsors across four tiers are credited on it.

Spelling trap we caught before it shipped An earlier AI-generated reference flyer said kids "14 & under." The correct, confirmed figure is 12 & under. Locked in the copy deck so it can't drift back in.

Why this framing

The real differentiator
These are real steel-tipped darts thrown at a real archery-grade board — not a touchscreen, not an arcade cabinet. The physical throw is real; the game layered on top is what's new. That tactile truth carries almost every asset in the campaign.
The emotional core
The 19th Hole is the room where nobody has to sit one out — little kids throw bean bags at the same board teens use for Bullseye Blitz, while parents get a pool table, shuffleboard, and a cold drink in the same room. The story isn't "we bought new equipment," it's "you all get to be here together, and you actually get to relax."

The storyboard — static cards

Eleven cards, split across five content pillars so the feed never repeats itself: the reveal (it's new to Delta), the games (depth worth returning for), the room (adult appeal, The 19th Hole), the family (all ages, same booth), and the deal (half-off urgency). All eleven are built and already in your hands.

Video

Two finished masters, both built with your real footage and real synced audio only — no added sound effects or music bed, per your instruction: a product-forward daytime cut, and an "After Dark" cut built from nine previously-unused clips. A classical background bed you approved is queued for the daytime cut; the second track is proposed and awaiting your sign-off.

What's in production now

In progress All eleven static cards, animated as short video variants for Reels and Stories (9:16) and the main feed (1:1) — twenty-two renders total. The photo does a slow push under the design; the headline and logo stay still and animate in, settling on the exact same frame as the approved static card. Same brand system, no new design risk.

Why "last big Saturday of summer"

The positioning
August 29 sits in the seam between summer and the school year — the natural "one more before it's over" weekend. Every piece carries a little of that end-of-summer urgency, because it's true and because it's the reason to come this Saturday.
Why it closes the darts campaign
This is the same Saturday that opens the final weekend of half-off Krazy Darts. Running them separately would split the message. Running them together — "Beach Bash Saturday, and it's the last weekend of $15 darts" — gives both offers more urgency than either has alone. Full reasoning in § How the three campaigns sequence together.
Why Mimi's is worth more than a mention
Mimi's Sweet Treats brings its own established audience in Delta. A co-branded post reaches two follower bases for the cost of one, and Mimi's already has real, curated product photography ready to use — the one part of this campaign that isn't waiting on anything.
The one real blocker There is no photo or video of the waterslide anywhere in the asset library — and it's the headline attraction. It was deliberately held out of the Krazy Darts campaign specifically so it could launch here, so this gap matters more than it would elsewhere. A generated slide isn't your slide — wrong shape, wrong colors, wrong surroundings — and advertising a real ride with a fake one is also a straightforward false-advertising problem. We need a real shoot: the slide from the top, from the bottom, and someone actually riding it. About 20 minutes with a phone.

A design decision that needs your call

The Yard's card system is deliberately dark and moody — built for a dim room with glowing dart booths. A beach luau is the opposite: bright, tropical, high-sun. Running luau content through the dark template as-is will look wrong for the subject. Our recommendation is to keep the black base and gold accent but swap the deep red field for a warm sunset gradient — same logo, same type, same layout, but it reads as summer instead of fighting it. This also makes the combined finale card work, since the sunset ramp and the darts red can share a frame without clashing.

What we need to move forward

How the three campaigns sequence together

These aren't three independent timelines. They're ordered by when the work has to start, not by which event happens first — because the campaign with the earliest deadline on the calendar isn't the one with the least lead time.

Now
Derby driver-recruitment funnel re-skinned first — drivers need the longest lead time of anything in this plan, regardless of the September date.
Now → Aug 12
Beach Bash site section, event listing, and the first wave of cards that don't need the waterslide shoot.
Ongoing
Krazy Darts Reels and animated card variants roll out as they're completed.
Aug 15 – 22
Beach Bash promo push peaks — one-day local events convert late, not early.
Aug 24 – 31
Combined finale — Beach Bash Saturday and the last weekend of half-off Krazy Darts run as one coordinated push.
Sep 1 – 20
Derby spectator campaign — the second, separate audience from the driver push above.
Sep 21 – 26
Derby final push into the event itself.

The through-line is simple: anything with a hard fail mode goes first. A derby with no cars is a failed derby, no matter how many spectators show up — so driver recruitment leads even though the event is seven weeks out. A one-day party campaign converts in its final week, not its first — so Beach Bash is deliberately back-loaded. And two campaigns that share a weekend get combined into one push instead of splitting your audience's attention twice.

What we need from you

Short list, grouped by what's actually blocking work:

  • The waterslide shoot (Beach Bash) — top, bottom, and someone riding it. ~20 minutes, phone is fine.
  • Beach Bash logistics — admission, end time, contest prizes, rain plan
  • Sign-off on the sunset palette for Beach Bash cards (§ Beach Bash Luau)
  • Confirm the game name for the darts campaign — Shield Breaker or Plate Breaker
  • Mimi's Sweet Treats confirmation — the collaboration itself, and what they're serving
